“Chemical Distribution in Times of Vulnerable Value Chains”, by Dorothee Arns, in CHEManager

The well-known CHEManager journal, which is also media partner of our upcoming Fecc Congress, has just released the overview article (in German language) by our Fecc Director General, Dorothee Arns: "Chemical Distribution in Times of Vulnerable Value Chains".

The article links into several topics, such as: competitiveness, geopolitics, energy landscape, regulation, sustainability, innovation, and cooperation in the chemical value chain.

Some key statements:

• This leads to new dynamics in the competitive factors: economic success is now defined in a different perception and implementation of supply chain reliability. This does not only apply to the European chemical distribution sector, but to the whole chemical industry value chain.
• We need a return to what was previously good practice: technology openness.
• Industry as an elementary backbone of economy and society needs more pragmatic solutions.
